Robert A. Davis, 78, of Decatur passed away Saturday October 30, 2010 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Graveside service for family and friends to celebrate Robert’s life will be 10:00 AM Tuesday November 2, 2010 at Boiling Springs Cemetery in Decatur. Dawson & Wikoff West Wood St. Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.dawson-wikoff.com

Robert was born on February 19, 1932 in Decatur, the son of Byrd L. Davis, Jr. and Clara Eleanor Peters Davis. Robert was retired from Tru-Temp Heating after 27 years of service. He was a Korean War Navy veteran and avid fisherman.

Robert is survived by his niece Sara Davis; four nephews: Jon White, Dale White, Byrd L. Davis IV and Robert (Bobby) Davis.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents Byrd and Clara, Brother Byrd L. Davis III and sister Virginia Davis White.
